SAVE THE DATE!!! Pathetic Happening: THIS EVENT will be a read and performed version of the entirety of Pathetic Literature occupying the entire space of St. Marks’s Church on 2nd Ave & E. 10th Street. This PATHETIC HAPPENING is devoted to enacting literature in all its dimensionality -- as conceived and curated by Tom Cole & Eileen Myles along with ten very wily sub-curators TBD. Simultaneous readings will be occurring in diverse locations on the St. Mark’s campus over approximately five hours. Texts will be read by original authors, covered by friends and fans, choruses and family members, sung, choreographed, incanted, played. Audience members will occasionally be pulled in to perform. Books will be available for purchase and though the event is free you’re encouraged to join or contribute to our beloved hosts, the Poetry Project. The Poetry Project
